Caffey

Funeral services for Randy Caffey, 62, formerly of Thorn-dale, were held Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Jeremy Shephard officiating. Burial was at Salty Cemetery near Thorndale. Mr. Caffey died Sunday, Feb. 24, in Waco.

Gary

John T. “JT” Gary, 95, of Milano, formerly of Victoria, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 2, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Dave Barclay of First Baptist Church in Milano officiating.

Heintze

Services for Paul Henry Heintze, 84, were held Friday, March 1, 2019, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Gary Jackson, Allen Sanders and Jason Hollinger officiating. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Mr. Heintze died Monday, Feb. 25, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Landis

Graveside services for Cullen Hamilton Landis Sr., 94, of Montgomery were held Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Mr. Landis was born June 27, 1924, in Rockdale to Charles Henry and Isabel (McCarty) Landis. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.

Lands

WEST COLUMBIA—A Celebration of Life service for Jack Ferguson Lands Jr., 81, was held Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, at Columbia United Methodist Church in West Columbia with Nolan Burke, Winter Burke and Rev. T. Paul Kethley officiating. Mr. Lands died Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Mowdy

CAMERON—Homer Lee Mowdy, 63, of the Hanover community of Milam County died Monday, March 4, 2019, at his home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Liberty Community Cemetery near Hanover.

Peevey

Solon B. Peevey, 93, of Thorndale died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Seton Williamson Medical Center in Round Rock. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at Robinson Cemetery in Robinson.

Serpas

Fred Estave Serpas was born on June 21, 1944, in Nacogdoches, to Robert Sidney and Minnie Smith Serpas. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a former member of the Rock-dale Masonic Lodge and Rockdale Lions Club.

Towery

Funeral services for Anna Lou Towery, 76 of Waco, formerly of Rockdale and Thorn-dale, are set for 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rock-dale with Gary Jackson and Allen Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.
