Funeral services for Charlyne Ann McDaniel, 78, of Thorn-dale were held Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Mark Porterfield officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Thorndale. Mrs. McDaniel died Wednesday, Jan. 9, at her home.

William Clark “Rusty” Bennett, 71, of Rockdale died Dec. 29, 2018. A celebration of life memorial will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Rockdale (Praesel Addition) at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019. Mr. Bennett was born in Louisiana in 1947 to Willie P. and Eula B.

Perry

James (Jim) Gordon Perry, 80, died Jan. 3, 2019, after a short illness in Round Rock hospital with his family by his side. In honoring his wishes, he will be cremated, followed by a memorial service at a later date. Mr. Perry was born in 1938 in Raymondville.

Sessions “Teddy Bear” Pounders, 82 of Rockdale died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at his home. Funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 5, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Minister Jason Hollinger of Murray Street Church of Christ officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Cynthia Kaye Salyer, 76, died Jan. 6, 2019. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Forest Grove Church in Rockdale, followed by burial at Forest Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Salyer was born June 4, 1942, in Rockdale to the late Thomas “TJ” and Bessie Bell Beasley Kyle.

CAMERON—Virginia “G.G.” Halpain, 59, of Woodville, formerly of Cameron and Rock-dale, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 14, at the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron, with Pastor Gene VanNoord officiating.
