Billy Joe Adams went home to be with his Lord on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, following a long illness. He was born in Taylor on March 1, 1951. He grew up in the Salty community and graduated from Thorndale High School, where he excelled at football, baseball and track.

Charles Glenn Towery, 92, of Thorndale, formerly of Pflugerville, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2022. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at Phillips & Lucke y Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Scott Schaller of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor officiating.

Skinner

AUSTIN—Walter I. Skinner Jr. passed away peacefully on Dec. 17, 2022, at the age of 96 in Corpus Christi, surrounded by loving relatives. Col. Skinner spent his last six years in Corpus Christi, having lived most of his life in Austin as a proud member of the Texas National Guard.

Caleb Matthew Stevenson, 22, of Palmetto, Georgia, formerly of Rockdale, passed away Dec. 22, 2022 in Palmetto, Georgia. Caleb was born Aug . 17, 2000, in LaGrange to Donna Morgan and Joel Stevenson. He was a graduate of Milano High School. He worked at Masada Industries as a project manager.

MILANO—Jo Ella Magee Hairston, 89, of Temple took her last breath on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at her home, under hospice care, in the presence of her family. A grave side service was held Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Milano Cemetery in Milano. A native Texan, she was married to Orbie R.
