Leonard Atchley of Palestine, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, the 10th day of May 2022. Mr. Atchley passed away at Trucare Living Centers in Palestine at the age of 86. He was born on the 2nd day of November 1935 in Borger, Texas to parents Alton Atchley and Zenobia Husted Atchley. Mr.

Melvin Mitchell, 83, of Dayton, Ohio, died Monday, May 9, 2022, in Miami Vally Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 12-noon on Saturday, May 21, at Mt. Zion Bapt ist Church in Thorndale with Apostle Coydell Mitchell, pastor, officiating.

Vasterling

Leslie Eugene Vasterling died peacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the near Rockdale. He was born June 7, 1935 in Austin. Les was born at home in east Austin, the middle of five siblings, the other four have preceded him in death. Les attended Austin High School and a local technical school.

Larry Darnell Williams Sr. departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 12, 2022. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, at New Jerusalem Christian Center in Rockdale. He will then be laid to rest at the New Oaklawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Carol Beth Hubert was born on Nov. 13, 1961 in Houston to Charles and Kittie Joyce Williams Hubert. She passed away on Jan. 17, 2022, at her home in Bryan.

Joyce McGuire, age 85 of Rockdale passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at her home in Teague, where she has been residing for the last 2½ years. Funeral service were held at 10 a.m.

Stimmel

Russell Wilson Stimmel, 60, passed away on May 4, 2022, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Stimmel and Madeline Wilson, and a sister, Cynthia Lynn Stimmel. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Renee (McQueen) Stimmel; stepsons Frank McQueen Jr.
