The Rockdale golf teams participated in the district golf tournament held at the Club last week. The Lady Tigers team of Brandilyn Musto, Molly Moody, Paisly Fisher and Isabella in third place. Congratulations to these student athletes.

ROCKDALE BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Rockdale Lady Tigers softball team dropped both of their games last week against Little River-Academy, 21-4 and 11-1. Rockdale is winless in district play.

Somerville SLOW. Water stained; 68 degrees; 2.11 feet below pool. Spring is slow coming to the lake. At the marina, the crappie bite is good, bluegill are fair on crickets or worms, the catfish are fair on minnows or punch bait.

THORNDALE BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The first-place Thorndale Bulldogs baseball team continues to collect wins. Thorndale hammered Holland last week, 17-0, before they beat second- place Rosebud-Lott, 10-3.

MILANO BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Milano Lady Eagles are crushing their softball season. Milano is 8-1 in district play after beating Somerville, 4-0, and North Zulch, 21-1.

Milano Masons golf tourney set for April 26 The Milano Masons Lodge No. 605 is having an 18-hole golf tournament to benefit its scholarship fund at Cameron Country Club on Saturday, April 26. Tee time is 9 a.m. Late registration is from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Entry fee is $50 per person.

Rockdale Noon Lion’s Club Scholarship Scramble Golf Tourney

The Rockdale Noon Lion’s Club held their 34th annual Scholarship Scramble Golf Tournament at Rockdale Country Club on March 22. Taking first place (top photo) was the team of Kent Greenway, Mike Mader, Louis Ontiberos and Bailey Griffin.
