Milano Lady Eagles powerlifters Kate Silvey and Kira Cooper placed third and fourth, respectively, at the regional meet last week.

The Blue & Gold baseball team faced off against Mumford last week and came away looking very good with 21-4 victory. Former Tiger and current head baseball Coach Austin Caffey said, “While the score looks good against Mumford it does not tell the whole story. Mumford substituted a lot of JV players.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER

The Rockdale Tigers soccer squad went 2-0 last week against opponents Cameron and Caldwell. Both games were played at home. CAMERON— In the game against Cameron, the final score was 1-0. Tiger Wilmer Sor to scored with an assist by Fernando Pacheco.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

Congratulations to the Thorndale Bulldogs basketball team who are district champs. They defeated the Milano Eagles, 47-23, in their last game of the regular season last Tuesday.

ROCKDALE BASKETBALL

Sadly the Rockdale Tigers basketball team wrapped up a successful season last week with a loss in their play-in game. Rockdale traveled to Cameron to face off against Academy to see who would move on in post-season play. The Tigers lost 49-37.

MILANO BASKETBALL

The Milano Eagles basketball squad finished regular season play with a loss to Thorndale, 47-23. Milano finished in fourth place with a record of 5-7 in district and 10-18 overall.

THORNDALE SOFTBALL

MILANO SOFTBALL

The Milano Lady Eagles softball team is 1-1 after their first two games of the season. Holland recently beat Milano in a home loss 16-2, before the Lady Eagles won against Cameron on the road, 9-6. NEXT UP— This week Milano hosted Thorndale on Tuesday(after The Reporter deadline).

THORNDALE POWERLIFTING

Thorndale powerlifters traveled to compete in the San Saba Powerlifting Meet last week. The Bul ldogs team placed third overall. Devan Cuba received the award for Most Outstanding Heavy Lifter and Marcus Shaw received the award for Most Outstanding Lifter on the light platform.

ROCKDALE TRACK

Both the Rockdale Tiger and Lady Tiger track teams are traveling to Jarrell on Thursday to compete in Jarrell’s annual track meet.
