Eagles, Bulldogs set for season openers Friday

MILANO— At 7:30 p.m. Friday, the Milano Eagles will host the Axtel Longhorns to kick off their regular season. The Eagles, under Coach Nick Morehead, are picked fifth in District 13-2A DII by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine.

The Rockdale Lady Tigers opened up their season at home against the Taylor Ducks and lost three sets to one. The final scores were 20-25, 19-25, 25-23 and 23-25. Rockdale came out strong and looked especially sharp but Taylor proved to be too much.
