Rockdale police make two felony arrests, one accident reported

Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past week including: • Dennis Keith Johnson, 57, Rockdale, was arrested on Friday for a parole violation for robbery, possession of a controlled substance (1 to 6 grams) and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Water lightly stained; 88 degrees; 1.73 feet below pool. Black bass are good on crankbaits fished up the river around the island. Crappie are good on jigs fished over structure in 4-10 feet of water. White bass are good over road beds. Blue catfish are good on jug lines baited with shad or cut bait.

The American Academy of Cr isis Counseling in Rockdale is holding sessions for adults called “Reduce Risks of Heart Disease by Controlling Blood Pressure,” which are being conducted by Debbie McNair, PhD. Classes are held 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays through Aug. 30.
