Milam 4-H’ers win big during annual roundup

MILAM 4-H NEWS Milam County 4-H was represented well at Texas 4-H Roundup June 10-13. A total of 28 youth competed or participated in the four-day event. The 4-H members participated in a Lead conference.

Big change eyed downtown

The biggest changes to the appearance of downtown Rockdale in at least a half century are on the way. Those changes will be discussed in a 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. meeting Thursday at the Patterson Civic Center.

Rockdale man gets eight years for child porn

A 46-year-old Rockdale man, arrested last December following a five-month investigation by the Texas Attorney General’s Office, drew an eight-year prison term Friday in 20th District Court.

Trustees eye 4-cent drop in RISD school tax rate
