Public school week events ahead

Texas Public School Week begins Monday and a number of events are planned in the Rockdale ISD including: Elementary • Parent Meals “Lunch With Loved Ones,” Tuesday.

Job fair ahead

Workforce Solutions will bold a job fair event on Friday, March 22 at the Patterson Civic Center. Hours are 9 a.m. to 12-noon.

Suspect arrested in Dec. 12 chase around school

Scammers targeting power bills

SHERIFF’S REPORT The Milam County Sheriff’s Department, and Cameron police, are warning residents of a scammer pretending to be associated with a power company.

Fire calls for South Milam County fire departments, dispatched from the Rock-dale Police Department during the past week included: • 9:17 a.m. Monday, Rockdale VFD summoned to Lee’s Landing restaurant, 313 West Cameron, for report of small fire wchich was quickly extinguished, according to police.

Benefit ride, auction set for March 30th

MILANO NEWS Abenefit motorcycle run and auction is being organized for Gause resident and Milano graduate Dendy Brown for March 30 at Nat’s in Milano. Deadline to order T-shirts for the event is Feb. 28.

City amendments part of May 4th vote

City of Rockdale voters will be asked to add a sentence to one section of the city charter, and remove one to another section on May 4.

March 8 Gause ISD will have an early release at 12:30 p.m. March 11-15 is spring break. Hope the weather is nice and sunny so all the students and families can have a great time. On March 19, the Gause Bears will have a track meet here after school.

World Day of Prayer links cultures, traditions
