RCS thanks community

Dear editor, Rockdale Christian Services extends a heartfelt thank you to our community for their generosity in support of the “Brown House” food pantry. Even with our reduced operations, we were able to provide food to an average of 150 families (290 individuals) per month this past year.

Scholarships, fried fish plates and more

What an operation they have going on at the KC Hall for their Lenten fish fries. It was run like a well-oiled machine and it was fun watching all of them do their jobs. The only thing I didn’t get a photo of were the finished plates.

Veterans Services’ Ken Janicek retiring

Strings attached

With information often available instantaneously these days, it is a wonder how much of it still is considered secret concerning government at all levels.
