Easy, filling beef recipes for cooler weather

We had a very nice Thanksgiving, if a little smaller than usual. I got my once-peryear turkey fix and if I don’t see a roast turkey again until next Thanksgiving that’ll be just fine with me. I am ready for some beef. Or seafood. Or pork. Or anything that isn’t turkey.

Here we are into December. Time to start making plans for the holidays. Co-ed volleyball is being played at Gause Baptist Church at 5 p.m. on Sundays. Men’s basketball is played at 7 p.m. Mondays. These are played in the Family Life Center. Bible Study is 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Rockdale officers make 4 felony arrests on week

Police officers arrested four individuals for felonies over the past week. Juan Rubio Jr., 20, of Rockdale, was arrested at 1:16 p.m. on Sunday by officer Dillian Ford on a local warrant for theft of property less than $2,500 with two previous convictions.

Christmas bazaar deadline approaching, space limited

There is less than a week to get signed up for your arts and crafts booth at the upcoming Christmas bazaar. The Milano Christmas Bazaar is looking for vendors to sell between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m on the same day as the city’s Christmas parade, Dec. 12.
