Calls for the Milam County Sheriff ’s Office dur ing the past week included: Nov 14—Accident, US 79; accident, US 77; accident, US 77; animal call, FM 487; suspicious vehicle, CR 131, information, CR 308A; suspicious activity, CR 461.

One arrested on felony warrant

Rockdale Police Officers made one felony arrest during the past week: • A 15-year-old juvenile from Rockdale was arrested for unauthorized use of motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) and evading arrest detention with vehicle.

FIRE CALLS

Rockdale VFD Responded to: • Bell at Scarbrough for a lift assist on Tuesday. • North US 77 at Northwood Circle for traffic control for a car accident on Thursday. • 734 Scarbrough for a lift assist on Saturday. Thorndale VFD Responded to: • FM 1331 at FM 486 for a small fire in a ditch on Saturday.

At Monday night’s city council meeting Rockdale Police Chief Jerry Meadors introduced two new Rockdale Police Officers. This year’s city budget includes money for two more new officers The General Land Office gave the city a $4.

Oney Toy Run to be held December 2 at The Ranch

The 18th annual Buddy Oney Toy Run brought to you by The Bad To The Bone Riders of Rockdale will take place on Dec. 2 at The Ranch. This annual ride in memory of the late Buddy Oney benefits the needy children of all Milam County by giving 100% of the proceeds to the Milam County C.P.S.
