Bulldogs fall flat in Flatonia, 37-13

Thorndale, 1-1 in district play, travels to Weimar Friday to face 0-2 Wildcats After opening up district a week before with a 36-7 win in Schulenburg, the shoe was on the other foot in Milam County as Thorndale couldn’t bounce back from early scoring by Flatonia, who defeated THS, 37-13.

Rockdale native gets roster spot with Titans

Last Tuesday afternoon, the Tennessee Titans announced that the team had signed Rockdale’s Le’Raven Clark to their 53-man roster. The team’s website said their signing of the Milam County native was to “add experience and versatility to their offensive front.

Lady Tigers sweep Rogers

Rockdale’s Georgia Woodard earlier this season. The Lady Tigers took down Rogers on the road this past Friday, 25-22, 25-21, 25-20. The Blue-and-Gold are 2-4 in district play as of Tuesday afternoon and faced rival Cameron on Tuesday evening. They host Academy on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Fishing conditions in Central Texas

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 81 degrees; 10.43 feet low. The cold front which pushed in on Sept. 25-26 turned the topwater white bass bite on. Each day this week has seen about 2.25 hours of solid topwater action.

RHS holds their own with top-ranked Franklin

Although their season- opening victory in August was followed by three straight losses during September, the Tigers played as if they had a clean slate on Friday night, when they battled Franklin, the topranked team in Class 3A-II.
