RHS looks to ‘soul-search’ after loss

Going into Friday evening, the Blue-and-Gold was confident against neighbor Lexington, a team they’ve defeated five out of the last seven seasons.

On Friday, the Milano Eagle football team was back in action after torrential rain fall k ept M HS o ff t he fi eld the week before. That being said, the Eagles were anything but rusty, taking down Temple’s Central Texas Christian School, 41-7.

Rockdale JV 1-1 on season after loss in Lexington

Rockdale High School’s junior varsity football team suffered their first loss of the season Thursday, when they fell on the road to neighbor Lexington, 36-0. Both teams were tied at zero after the first quarter, but the Eagles took control in the second, scoring 22 unanswered points.

MIDNIGHT MILE

This past week, Rockdale High School held their annual ‘Midnight Mile,’ where members of the RHS and RJH cross country teams paired up with a family member or friend to run a mile around the track at night.

Dawgs attack Lions in overtime, 35-33

TAYLOR—The Thorndale Bulldogs and the Granger Lions put on quite the show for the fans at Taylor High School this past Friday night. Spectators even got their money’s worth with a game that went into double overtime and ended with a Bulldog win. In the opening quarter, it was Thorndale.

Lady Tigers ranked

On Friday evening, the Lady Tigers started off slow in their match with Class 4A Taylor, losing 20-25 in the opening set. Falling behind early didn’t deter RHS, as they battled to win three straight sets (25-14, 25-18, 25-10) and taking the victhe tory over the Class 4A Lady Ducks.
