RHS honors Cleveland at annual athletic banquet

Last Tuesday, Rockdale High School observed the memory of super fan Joe Wayne Cleveland at the school’s annual athletic banquet by announcing they were naming their film deck after him.

Lozano named coach of the year

Lady Tiger head coach Shirley Lozano was honored by her fellow District 26-4A coachches, being named Tri-Coach of the Year for the 2020-2021 girls soccer season. Although the Blue-and-Gold only won two games during their campaign, they steadily improved throughout the season.

7-on-7: Tigers head to Needville

Rockdale football players have been getting back into the swing of things playing in their 7-on-7 league on Wednesday in Giddings. On Saturday, the Tigers play in the Needville State Qualifier Tournament with pool play starting at 9 a.m. and the state qualifying round will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Milano summer football camp Milano High School is having their first annual summer football camp June 8-10 at Pruitt Field. The camp is for kids going into grades first through eighth. The cost is $15, which includes a camp t-shirt. Third through fifth graders have camp from 8 to 10 a.m.
