MHS falls short in season finale

Lady Eagle softball lost their season finale 3-1, but not without putting up a fight against playoff-bound Bremond last Tuesday. Milano led early after Toni Meyer hit a single to lead off the second inning and scored on a passed ball.

RJH golf teams finish in third Rockdale Junior High golfers hosted their own tournament at the Rockdale Country Club Monday. The Tiger golf team made up of Mason Lillard, Brody Willard, Zeb Skrhak, Landon Deason and Stephen Goodrich placed third.

Bees sting Tiger playoff chances

Post-season hopes for the Tiger baseball team diminished significantly Tuesday evening after some early scoring and five runs in the fourth inning by Academy gave RHS an insurmountable uphill battle. This led to an 11-5 loss for the Tigers.

Rivera, Eastridge named RHS royalty

Seniors Enrique Rivera and Arianna Eastridge were named Mr. and Miss RHS at the Rockdale High School prom held at Apache Pass this past Saturday. Rivera plays baseball and soccer, where he was named District 26-4A’s Newcomer of the Year.

Five-game winning streak for Bulldogs

Thorndale improved to 10-1 after taking down Granger 8-2 on the road Monday evening. The game was close throughout, with the Bulldogs putting up one run in every inning from the second through the sixth and GHS scoring a run in the third and the fifth.

Lady Eagles run-rule Bartlett, 10-0

MHS freshman Toni Meyer struck out six in the Lady Eagles’ 10-0 win over Bartlett on Monday at Becky Dent Field. Milano only had two hits from Meyer and her classmate Zoe Clore but were able to get on base and make things happen.

RHS physicals for athletes next Thursday

Lady Dogs clinch district title, prepare for post-season

Monday was nothing out of order for the Lady Dogs, a team that has 10-run-ruled their opponents in all but three of their 13 District 27-2A contests. They opened their homestand with Holland by scoring 15 runs in the the first inning.
