The Thorndale cross country teams ran last week in Moody. Lady Dogs Raven Sandoval placed second and Skielee Bear finished third. Bulldogs Case McDaniel placed sixth and Jaime Llanas came in 11th place.

Homecoming did not roll out the red carpet for the Blue & Gold last week. The Rockdale Tigers lost to Groesbeck 32-21. Rockdale has got to figure out the math of football. “We had two drives that should have been two touchdowns,” said Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Hunter Hamrick.

The Rockdale Lady Tigers volleyball team dropped both matches last week. They lost to Academy on the road 0-3 and then lost 0-3 at home against Thrall, who is currently ranked No. 9 in the state.

The Thorndale Lady Dog varsity volleyball team won both of their matches last week. They beat Snook 3-1—25-17, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17. They also beat Meridian World School in four sets, 25-21, 25-15, 22-25 and 25-17.

The Rockdale Tiger JV football team improved to 3-1 after beating Giddings at home 14-8. Key players in the victory were Jaylyn Vrana, Jonathan Fuller, Shawn Gerren, Alexis Sorto and Slayde Harris.

AUSTIN—The Thorndale Bulldogs keep rolling. They thumped the winless Austin Achieve on the road last week 61-0. Thorndale came out like a team on a mission in the first quarter scoring 35. The Bulldogs gave quarterback Gunner Ferguson’s arm a break and scored everything on the ground.
