Bulldogs claim second victory

RIESEL—The Bulldogs are on a roll and I’m sure it does not surprise anyone. Thorndale is 2-1 after beating the 1-2 Riesel Indians on the road. The final score of this contest was Thorndale 27, Riesel 6. Thorndale went to the air on three out of four of their touchdowns.

THURSDAY’S TIGERS

The Rockdale Tiger JV squad traveled to Lexington last week and came home with a loss, 44-20. Standout players for this game were—OL McKasson Casas, QB Slayde Harris, WR Alex Cooper, LBs Garrett Hutton, Kevin Rodriguez and Kendrick Henderson.

Lexington steamrolls Tigers

Friday was rough for the hometown Tigers. Lexington, who went three deep in the playoffs last year and are picked by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine to win their district, came to town and they turned their 2-0 record into 3-0 record at Rockdale’s expense. The final score was 66-7.

ROCKDALE LADY TIGERS VOLLEYBALL

The Rockdale Lady Tigers split matches last week. They lost in three against Mumford and won in three against Florence. Former Lady Tiger and Head Volleyball Coach Morgan Laughlin shared, “We have had some girls out sick but we have pushed through and I’m very pleased with these athletes.

HEMPSTEAD—The Rockdale Tigers are 2-0 af ter a w in Fr iday in Hempstead. They beat the Bobcats 28-7 and if not for a pick six early in the first quarter it would have been a defensive shut out.

Eagles come up short

MILANO—The Eagles suffered another loss this week. Milano lost to Bosqueville in a close g ame 1 3 -10. This leaves the Eagles at 0-2 for the season.
