CALDWELL— More speakers have been announced for the annual free Milam-Burleson groundwater summit set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Caldwell Civic Center.

Time to register for 4-H with new year set Sept. 1st

Senior Expo vendors sought

Vendors are being sought for the Milam County Triad Senior Expo, set for 8 a.m. to 12-noon Oct. 16 at the Rock-dale KC Hall. A guide will be distributed with a multitude of resources. Vendor fees will include advertisement in the resource guide. Fees include: • Quarter page and booth space, $55.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL CAMPS

Vacation Bible schools offer a variety of activities with a Christian message for students of all ages. These are the programs in the area: July 22-25 – “Knightly Virtues” VBS at Murray Street Church of Christ will take place in the evening.

RCS food pantry Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 West Cameron Avenue, open 10 a.m. until noon weekdays. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome.

Migrant life highlighted in family memoir

MARLIN – Frank Dávila’s memoir “An Outburst of Dreams” documents his family’s time as migrant workers throughout Texas. Dávila, brother of Manuela Rosas and Josie Martinez of Rockdale and uncle to Gloria Zapata of Rockdale, will read from his memoir in Dallas on Friday.

Blood drive to be held Saturday at Milano VFD
