These Tigers showed up and showed off Thursday night against the visiting Lexington Eagles. The Tigers won the game with a final score, Rockdale 38, Eagles 24. Tiger Juan Sa lcedo picked up a loose ball on the Eagles’ opening drive to set the pace of the game.

PA award winner has Rockdale ties

ABILENE—Dr. Jennifer Weems Eames, a professor for the Physician Assistant (PA) program at Hardin- Simmons University and a clinically practicing PA for the Department of Veterans Affairs Clinical Resource Hub in Abilene, has been awarded the 2023 PA Distinguished Alumnus Award.

Rockdale Walmart names Coronado new store manager

Carl Coronado has been with the Walmart Corporation for six years and st a r ted hi s career in San Antonio before moving to a store in Lubbock. Coronado has been married to his wife of 19 years, Grace, and they have three boys Elijah, 19, Malachi, 17 and Jayden 14.

Wise, Box announce retirements from Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservations District

Steven Wise, Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) Board member, announced his retirement from the board effective following the Aug. 8 board meeting. Steven was appointed by the Milam County Commissioner’s Court in 2013 to represent at-large interests.
