AG MECHANICS

Kaylor Eschberger of Rockdale FFA was named grand champion in the ag mechanics senior class for his welding project. Klay Eschberger with Rockdale FFA was named reserve champion in the ag mechanics senior class with his wood project

Home s al l over Rockdale were ready for Trick-or-Treaters on Tuesday when temperatures got up to nearly 60 degrees and then later dipped into the 30s overnight. Here are just a few samples of the decorations.

Weekend happenings around The Rock

There was lots of activity around town this past weekend including (clockwise from the upper left) The Shoppes at Moon River gave away Magical Margaritas on Saturday afternoon. Rita Quinn and Ashley Zimmerman were serving them up in their Halloween costumes.

Time is running out for 4-H giveaway to stock your freezer

Milam County 4-H is hosting a fundraiser to help raise money for the Milam County 4-H program. The funds used will help pay for entries for judging contests, day camps, fun activities, and many other 4-H programming needs.

REUNIONS

Class of 1993 reunion set for Saturday A 30th reunion for the Rockdale High School Class of 1993 will be held Saturday. The reunion will include a 4 p.m. tour of the high school, 500 Childress, and a 5 p.m. gathering at the East Bell Taphouse, 101 E. Bell Ave.

The Rockdale Fair Home Economics Division was held Oct. 16-18 at Rockdale Fair Park. This year, there were 188 entries.

The October meeting of the Thursday Reading Club was hosted by Annette Stone and her daughter, Amie Stone King, at the Lucy Hill Patterson Library. Fall decor and many items made by Mrs. Stone were used and the refreshments featured fall touches.
