Stay cool with these salads

Kyle’s Kitchen Here’s a cool dish to make for the hot days we’ve been having. I bought some of the everything bagel seasoning and it’s good on so many things. So many, in fact, that I need to replace it because my jar is now empty.

One shrimp, two corn recipes

CEMETERY CLEANUP

CEMETERY CLEANUP— A group of volunteers came together for another cleanup day at St. Joseph Cemetery by mowing, edging, trimming trees and raking. Over 20 people took part in the cleaning and were treated to lunch prepared by Frank and Johnnie Diaz.

God is for me

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105) Sometimes I feel like I’m becoming an old church guy who is against everything. They say old people are already mad about being old, so it doesn’t take much to tick them off. Ouch!

Learning from our differences

Many of you are familiar with Jesus’ sermon on the mount and remember that portion in which Jesus pronounces, “Blessed are the peacemakers. . .” I once saw a comedy sketch in which some men were far back in the crowd that day. One asked, “What did he say?

He will find you

Iwas on social media the other day and ran across a project of the Brooklyn Art Library.
