FOODIE FRIDAY

Trop Rock crooner and Milam County native Brook Graham has a segment on her social media called Foodie Friday in which she cooks up one recipe per week. Last week she filmed at Moon Brew Coffee Co. and made a Blackberry Cob bler Bliss coffee drink for the camera.

The Rockdale Ministerial Alliance will be holding Holy Week Luncheons on April 14, 15, 16 from noon to 1 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church. A light lunch with dessert will be provided. Each day a different pastor from town will present a message.

Three arrested on felony warrants

Rockdale Police Officers made three felony arrests during the past week including: • Brittany Shields, 35, Austin, was arrested for capital murder. • Willie Johnson, 52, Round Rock, was arrested for theft of property ($2,500) with two or more previous convictions.

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. • Darron Knight, 45, Cameron, possession of a controlled substance (4 to 400 grams), in custody.

Last weekend the Big Blue Band participated in UIL Concert and Sight Reading contests and came home with a sweep of Supe rior ratings from all six judges. “The students performed amazingly well today and worked hard for their trophy,” said Director of Bands Andrew Quinn.

Daughter arrested for capital murder after mother’s death

Rockdale Police Department received a 911 call at 5:13 p.m. Monday from an individual reporting a deceased female inside a residence located in the 600 block of Rice Street. When officers arrived, they discovered Stephanie McBride, 58, Rockdale, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
