Rockdale Community Market returns to Wolf Park March 7

Rockdale Community Market makes its return to Wolf Park on Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a reopening ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. The day will also feature a Car Show from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with judging starting at 10 a.m.
PROJECT COMPLETE— EBCO General Contractors has finished construction on the College & Career Academy for Rockdale ISD by transforming the former hospital into a new educational space that will have a lasting impact. On Wednesday a ribbon cutting will be held celebrating the grand opening and honoring Dr. Denise Monzingo’s career in education as she retires. Facility tours will be given. See photos in next week’s paper.

The inaugural Small Town Big Book Festival is set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 14 at Cameron Beer Market and will bring together writers, artisans, foo vendors and community organizations for a day of celebrating books and local businesses.

My phone tells me we are in for some cold weather, at least during the overnight. Here is a soup recipe. I love all the flavors in this, especially the sun-dried tomatoes. Which reminds me I have a jar of them at home. I may need to make this.
