MARC Ride coming June 11

The 21st annual MARC Ride will be held on Saturday, June 11, at The Ranch. The Bad to the Bone Riders holds this benefit each year and it is the largest yearly donation received by the MARC Center.

Remember the story of The Ugly Ducking? A mother duck sat on her eggs, one of which was different, large and gray. When it hatched, out climbed a large, clumsy, gray duckling. The other ducks made fun of it so it ran away. Every farm was just the same with laughter and ridicule.

RCS food pantry Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 W. Cameron Ave., open the second and fourth Thursday and Friday of the each month from 10 a.m. to noon.

Grand reopening

The Rockdale Walmart held a grand reopening on Friday after completing renovations inside. The store also made three generous donations to local organizations.

Bird & Bee Farm gets recognition

The Texas Environmental Excellence Award for 2022 went to the Bird and Bee Farm right here in Milam County.
