Homecoming RSVP deadline set for May 22

The Rockdale Homecoming Association is planning the annual Homecoming for Sunday, June 12, at the Patterson Center. Come early to visit with friends and stay late to take in the program and eat lunch. RSVP is required for lunch.

Voters pick Boren, Lillard, Olivares, Walker

While the official city voting results will not be ready until after press time this week, The Reporter feels comfortable with declaring the winners of the contested races based on the unofficial results provided by the City of Rockdale on Saturday night.

ELVIS SIGHTING—Elvis was spotted on Thursday at Rockdale Estates & Rehabilitation and the crowd was very excited. Blue Suede Tunes’ Lynn and Cat performed a variety of Elvis tunes as well as other artists and they didn’t do any lip-syncing, it was live.

Waterpark opens

The city’s splash pad at Sumuel Park opened on Saturday and these two kids were having a great time on what turned out to be a very hot day.

Where can I find Jesus?

I’m a fan of PBS. Sorry, don’t hate me. Several years ago they had a show entitled, “Moveable Feast.” Every week these cooks, including chef Pete Evans, would take you on a culinary journey by taking you to a different location and then do a pop-up feast using local ingredients.
