County old tire cleanup day

Don’t forget that next Saturday is tire cleanup day in Milam County. Any Milam County resident (not involved in dumping litigation) may bring old automobile tires, implement and tractor tires to the Precinct 3 headquarters in Rockdale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and drop them off at no charge.

Temple College plans to offer aid grants for fall students

Temple College will offer emergency aid grants of up to $1,500 for students who enroll in classes for the fall. The college will give $1,400 emergency aid grants to students holding a high school diploma or GED who enroll in 12 or more hours of classes.

MARC fundraiser set for June 12

The 20th Annual MARC RIDE given by The Bad To The Bone Riders of Rockdale will be June 12 at The Ranch at 415 W. US 79 in Rockdale. The ride benefits the Milam Adult Resource Center of Milam County in Rockdale. MARC serves Milam County adult residents with physical and learning disabilities.
