Countywide burn ban

A burn ban for Milam County was issued on Sunday, September 28 at 6 p.m. by the commissioners court after discussions with the Milam County Fire Chiefs, the Fire Marshall and Milam County Emergency Management.

I am already in full blown protest mode towards the holidays. I’m a Scrooge and I wish we could skip fall and winter and, in my dreams, we would be in an endless June. A June without Father’s Day and Flag Day—I’m good with Juneteenth but that’s it, no more holidays ever.

Rockdale PD reports one traffic accident over past seven days

• Ofc. Clark responded to near the intersection of East Belton and Douthit Street for a two-vehicle accident with unknown injuries on Sept. 29 at 12:54 p.m. Arrests RPD officers made 4 arrests during the past seven days all for Capias Pro Fine.
