The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce has welcomed a new member, Rollo Insurance. Rollo Insurance is run by Nathan Bland at 113 N. Main St. in Rockdale. Bland can be reached at his office number 512-446-2406 or his personal number 512-430-0138 (cell).
Farmers’ Market is set to start Saturday
The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce is bring back its farmers’ market on the grounds of the of the historic Coffield Stone Tree House at 1203 W. Cameron. The first market is set to be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
With a new school year approaching, parents of prekindergarten aged children may be asking themselves whether or not attending pre-K makes a difference for young developing minds.
Rockdale High School principal Brent Hasselbach announced plans for the high school prom and an in-person graduation.
The annual Junior-Senior Prom will be held outdoors at Apache Pass Event Center in Rockdale on April 17.
Small groups are encouraged for all pre-prom activities.
ACCIDENT—There was a three-car accident Monday on west US 79 that caused traffic to slow down around 6 p.m. This maroon Honda, one of the vehicles in the wreck, received both front and back end damage. The other two vehicles, both pickups, had front end damage, according to reports.
Police officers made three felony arrests, two of them drug related and the other was on a Milam County warrant for a probation violation over the past week.
Officers also had to attend to six wrecks over the past week.
Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the country jail in Cameron.
Charges may change during the process.
Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.

The following cases were presented to the grand jury and indicted as true bills with no “no bills” on March 18 (more next week):
• James Ward Timmerman, 45, of Rockdale, first-degree felony, manufacture/delivery of controlled substance 4-200 grams.
