Workforce Solutions of Central Texas sponsored a job fair in Rockdale’s George Hill Patterson Community Center on July 20. There were 16 employers at the fair including representatives from the Navy, Temple College and Texas Veterans Commission. SUNFLOWER FUN RUN/WALK—Plans are in the works for the Melodie Hope Jones Memorial Scholarship Fun “Sunflower Fun Run/Walk.” The event is scheduled for Sept. 25 at Davidson Creek Park in Caldwell. There is a kids’ one mile color run at 9 a.m. and the 5K starts at 9:30 a.m.
