“Where is Interstate 14 going to be?” has been the question asked in more than a few calls to The Reporter over the past couple of years. Our answer of “we don’t know?” may not satisfy every caller but a Texas Department of Transportation executive confirmed last week that TxDOT doesn’t know either.

Lions Soup Suppers change dates, location The Noon Lions Club’s annual January soup suppers are changing a bit for 2020. Allen Sanders, club president said instead of holding the tasty events every Thursday during the month they will scheduled only twice, Jan. 9 and 23. Each of those is a Thursday.

Rockdale police were expected to issue a warrant in connection with an incident in which they said an individual misrepresented herself as a realtor. Lt. Stephen Goodrich said the woman posed as a representative of a Temple company in connection with a lien situation on a piece of property.

The 39th annual Central Texas Cow/Calf Clinic will be held Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Milam County Youth Exposition Building, 301 S. Houston in downtown Cameron. This program is presented each January by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension of Milam, Robertson, Bell, Burleson, Falls and Williamson Counties.

USW sues Alcoa over life insurance

Just about everything is closing for Christmas next Wednesday. Area financial institutions close at noon Tuesday (Christmas Eve) The post office is closed Wednesday. There’s regular service on Tuesday.
