Wanda and Al Coats and family celebrated the wedding of great-grandson and wife, Tera and Hayden Rasco, Saturday evening at Arledge Ranch, north of Gause. A reception followed at Beaver Creek Ranch. Then Sunday the family gathered with Wanda and Al for Pierce Ward’s 9th birthday.

Monday—Potato crusted fish, mashed potatoes with green beans, wheat bread, peaches, milk. Tuesday—Barbecue chicken, vegetable Normandy, macaroni and cheese, wheat bread, Mandarin oranges, milk. Wednesday—Pork roast, baked sweet potatoes, turnip greens, lemon cake, rolls, milk.

Tips for seniors to make the last year memorable

LORD’S ACRE FUNDRAISER

Sunday was a special day as St. John’s United Methodist Church held its annual Lord’s Acre event, a major fund-raiser for the congregation that benefits the church and its activities.

4-H’ers advance from county food show to district

COMMENTS FROM MICAH Milam County 4-H members competed at the County Food Show and Food Challenge 2019, at Bea’s Kitchen in Cameron. Fourteen 4-H members competed, and all will advance to district on Dec. 11 in Belton.
