Fire calls dispatched from the Rockdale Police Department during the past week included the following:
• 7:23 p.m. Oct. 29, Milano VFD responded to smoking 18-wheeler on US 79 in Milano, no fire, brakes locked up.
• 6:45 p.m. Thursday, apparent out-of-control burn FM 1712, Rockdale ISD.

Classic Car show at Pres by terian Church
The third annual Classic Car Show and Fall Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 26. Entry fee for cars is $20 per vehicle.
Rockdale Christian Services operates a food pantry at 224 W. Cameron Ave., open 10 a.m. until noon weekdays. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome, especially one-pound bags of rice, pinto beans, macaroni and cheese, canned soups and peanut butter.

MILANO—The Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) will host a free Groundwater Harvesting Class from 4 to 8 p.m. Whursday at the SRVGFD office in Milano.
