PAWS sets ‘dog day’ adoptions

QUICK LOOK Rockdale Pet Adoption Welfare Services (PAWS) and the City of Rockdale Animal Shelter will host a “Hot Dogs and Hound Dogs” per adoption event Saturday. Hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the I&GN Historic Depot, corner of Main and Milam.

It was a most welcome sight for Rockdale when the “new” Rockdale Medical Clinic opened its doors Monday morning and began seeing patients. From left Kelly Jackson, Tracy Doss and Terri Warneke were on hand logging in the first patients as medical care returned to Rockdale.

‘Earth Month’ 2019 announced

Plans for Rockdale Earth Day, which again this year includes activities for an entire month, are underway, according to event spokesman Dave Melton. He noted 2019 is Rock-dale’s fifth annual celebration and many activities are planned throughout the month.

Annual police-RVFD event ahead Feb. 23rd The 12th Annual Police/ Firefighter of the Year Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23 at the KC Hall in Rockdale. The event ticket will include a barbecue meal, catered by Chris Kelm, dance with Kenny Orts, silent auction, and live auction.
