MVFD chili supper set for Saturday

MILANO NEWS The Milano Volunteer Fire Department’s annual chili supper set for Saturday. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the fire station located on US 79. Meal costs are $8 for adults, $4 for children under age 12 and two and under eat free. Cost included drink and a dessert.

Spectacular sales tax start

If the February sales tax checks are any indication, 2019 just might be the year for which the City of Rockdale and Milam County have been waiting. Rockdale is up 8.54 percent for the month and 12.10 percent for the year-to-date. And Milam County is up an astonishing 29.
