The Rockdale Tiger baseball team traveled to West to play in the West Invitational Tournament last week. The tournament was a tune-up for district play, which starts this week.

The Rockdale Lady Tigers (6-13, 3-9) hosted La Grange last Tuesday and lost, 2-0. The JV girls lost their game, 1-0. On Friday, the Lady Tigers varsity played in Smithville and came home with a 4-0 victory. Leydi Mata scored three goals and Hannah McKie had one.

DUBLIN— Milano High School girl powerlifters and coaches competed at the Regional Powerlifting Meet in Dublin last week. Two finished second in their weight class and will advance to the state meet—Caydence Wilson and Bella Flores.

BOSQUEVILLE—The Thorndale Bulldogs traveled to Bosqueville last week to participate in the Texas 2A Showdown. The tournament brought together 12 of the most accomplished 2A programs in the state. The Bulldogs finished the tourney with a 2-1 record before rain washed out the Saturday schedule.

The Rockdale Tiger golf teams participated in a twoday tournament in Brenham last week. They were up against some great Class 5A and 6A competition. Both boys and girls teams competed well against the bigger schools. Zeb Skrhak and Mason Lillard tied for ninth in the boys division.

The Milano Lady Eagles basketball team had five players named to the All-District squad. Marissa Balderas was named to the All-District Second-Team and also to the Academic All-District Team. Named All-District honorable mention were Sophie Zeig and Jesalyn Miller.

The Thorndale Bulldogs baseball team went 4-1 last week with a victory over Milano on Tuesday and a tournament championship over the weekend. MILANO— The Bulldogs traveled to Milano last Tuesday and defeated the Eagles, 28-0. They pounded out 21 hits on the night.
