The District 14-2A Division I All-District football team was released with a considerable number of Thorndale Bulldogs on the list. Linebacker Kale Meadors was chosen as the Defensive MVP in the district.

TOURNEY PLAY— The Thorndale Bulldog and Lady Bulldog teams all competed in basketball tournaments last week. The Bulldogs varsity and JV teams claimed first places, while the Lady Dogs claimed a fourth place finish.

In UIL Class 3A Division I, four teams remain alive: Yoakum, Grandview, Peaster and Llano. Yoakum eliminated Columbus this past weekend. Columbus eliminated district foe Franklin the weekend before. In the Div ision II bracket, East Bernard, Wall, Gunter and Newton remain.

The Rockdale Tiger basketball team had a pretty busy week, traveling to Thorndale to take on the Bulldogs and then on to the Salado Tournament over the weekend. THORNDALE— The Tigers fell to the 2A stateranked Thorndale Bulldogs in a close game, 56-52.
