Thursday’s Tigers make clean sweep of Yoemen

The Rockdale Tigers sub-varsity fared well on Thursday against their rival Cameron Yoemen. Rockdale JV 21, Cameron JV 12 The JV won its game by the score of 21-12.

Yoemen retain possession of Bell

CAMERON—The Rockdale Tigers traveled across the river to take on the arch rival Cameron Yoemen in the annual Battle of Bell on Friday night. They returned home without the Bell, losing to the Yoe 55-28.

AREA FOOTBALL

The Thorndale Bulldogs (5-3, 2-1) shut out the Johnson City Eagles (4-4, 1-2), 47-0, Thursday night at Bulldog Stadium. The game was moved up a night early after potential weather issues were forecast for Friday night. THIS WEEK— The Bulldogs will host the Harper Longhorns (4-4, 1-2) at 7 p.m.

Rockdale cross country duo to race in state meet Friday

Two standout athletes from the Rockdale High School boys cross country team, Jon Fuller and Austin Caldwell, are headed to the UIL State Cross Country Meet Friday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

High school The Rockdale Lady Tiger volleyball teams concluded their season on Friday. CAMERON— On Tuesday, they traveled to Cameron to take on the Lady Yoe. The Lady Tigers fell to Cameron, three sets to two. The Rockdale JV and freshmen team also lost their match against the Lady Yoe.
