McGREGOR—The Rockdale Lady Tigers traveled to McGregor to face the Lady Dogs and come home victorious, 36-24. Top performers for the Lady Tigers were Trinity Hurd with 22 points and 4 steals and Chloe Miles with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals.

The Rockdale Lady Tigers hosted their third annual Lady Tiger Blue & Gold Cup Invitational soccer tournament last week and went 2-2 with two impressive wins over larger schools. They beat Hempstead, 5-0, and Rice Consolidated, 4-0, with losses to Rudder, 2-1, and Academy, 3-0.

Rock dale Lady Tiger soph omore Kyn dal Selgelid was recent ly selected to the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writ ers Associ ation Class 3A Honor able Mention All-State Vol leyball Team. Selgelid had 303 kills, 80 digs, 78 blocks, 39 aces and 9 assists for the Lady Tigers this season.

The Rockdale Tigers hit the road to participate in the Buda Tournament Monday (after The Reporter’s early holiday deadline). They were set to play Class 6A’s Dripping Springs and Class 5A’s Georgetown East View on Monday. Tournament results will be in next week’s paper.

The Rockdale Tigers basketball team took the court twice last week—Tuesday they hosted A&M Consolidated and on Friday they traveled to Navasota. The Tigers lost both games but played well against the much larger schools. On Tuesday, the Tigers fell, 72-48, and on Friday, 76-50.
