ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

The Rockdale Tiger basketball teams were in action last week hosting the Hearne Eagles on Tuesday and traveling to Salado on Friday. HEARNE— On Tuesday, the JV lost to the Eagles, 41-27. The Hearne Eagles varsity brought a preseason ranking of No. 3 in Class 2A into their opener against the Tigers.

Three Lady Eagles named to Academic All-State team

Three Milano Lady Eagle seniors were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association A c a d emic All-State team in volleyball. Named to the first team was Lesly Martinez, while Hannah Bakken and Sophie Zeig were named to the second team.

Bulldogs dominate Moody

Thorndale to play in area competition against No. 5 Ganado in Rockdale TEMPLE—The Thorndale Bulldogs (8-3) overcame an early score by the Moody Bearcats (6-5) to win their UIL Class 2A Division 1 bi-district game, 42-7, Thursday night at Wildcat Stadium in Temple.
