THORNDALE BASKETBALL

The Thorndale Bulldogs (21-4, 6-0) extended their win streak to 10 games last week with wins against Bartlett (19-4, 3-1) and Milano (2-14, 2-4). The Dogs downed the Bartlett Bulldogs, 61-27, on Tuesday in Thorndale and defeated the Milano Eagles, 75-27, on the road Friday.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER

SALADO— The Rockdale Tigers (7-4-1, 2-2) soccer team traveled to Salado Tuesday to take on the undefeated Eagles (10-01, 3-0). The Tigers lost the game, 8-0. The JV Tigers also lost to Salado, 5-0. TAYLOR— On Friday, the Tigers hosted the Taylor Ducks (6-4-1, 2-2) and came out on top, 2-1).

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL POWERLIFTING

The Rockdale Tigers powerlifting team delivered once again last week at the Florence Meet. There were multiple medalists and some athletes setting personal best across their weight classes. The boys team finished in third place overall, while the girls placed fourth.

THORNDALE BASEBALL

400 WINS— Thorndale Bulldogs Baseball Coach Kelly Kuhl was recently recognized for his 400th career win at the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association convention in Waco. It is an incredible milestone for Coach Kuhl’s years of leadership, commitment and Bulldog pride.

ROCKDALE POWERLIFTING

The Rockdale High School powerlifting team participated in the Cameron Yoe Invitational meet last week and came away with some nice results. Coach Brenten Drummond said, “Fantastic night for our lifters” with the boys finishing first overall in the meet and the girls finishing fifth as a team.

AREA POWERLIFTING

CAMERON—Milano powerlifting got off to a strong start in their first meet of the season last week in Cameron. The Lady Eagles team were meet champions, while the Eagles placed third out of 10 teams.

TP&W FISHING REPORT

FAIR. Water stained; 54 degrees; 0.48 feet above pool. Black bass are fair on crankbaits fished up river around timber. Crappie are fair in deep water near the dam. White bass are fair up river in areas where shad are concentrated. Blue catfish are good on jug lines baited with shad.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER

Rockdale soccer teams started district play with both girls and boys varsity winning their matches against Caldwell in Tiger Stadium last week. The Tigers won 6-0 and the Lady Tigers came out on top 2-0. Both varsity teams fell to Manor New Tech—the Tigers, 1-0, and the Lady Tigers, 2-1.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL

After another 2-0 week on the courts, the Rockdale Tigers (10-14, 4-0) are now first in District 19-3A. Last week they topped Thrall, 64-41, and Rogers, 50-43. THRALL— The Tigers traveled down US 79 to take on the Tigers of Thrall on Tuesday.
