CAMERON—The Rockdale Tigers traveled across the river to take on the arch rival Cameron Yoemen in the annual Battle of Bell on Friday night. They returned home without the Bell, losing to the Yoe 55-28.

The Thorndale Bulldogs (5-3, 2-1) shut out the Johnson City Eagles (4-4, 1-2), 47-0, Thursday night at Bulldog Stadium. The game was moved up a night early after potential weather issues were forecast for Friday night. THIS WEEK— The Bulldogs will host the Harper Longhorns (4-4, 1-2) at 7 p.m.

High school The Rockdale Lady Tiger volleyball teams concluded their season on Friday. CAMERON— On Tuesday, they traveled to Cameron to take on the Lady Yoe. The Lady Tigers fell to Cameron, three sets to two. The Rockdale JV and freshmen team also lost their match against the Lady Yoe.

High school The Rockdale Lady Tigers volleyball team had its Senior Night on Friday when they hosted the Rogers Lady Eagles. The Lady Tigers came away with a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive. Rockdale is currently one game behind the Thrall Lady Tigers.
