Buffaloes outlast the Tigers

The Rockdale Tigers fell to the Giddings Buffaloes, 44-36, Friday night at Tiger Stadium in an exciting, high-scoring contest. The T ige r s s t r uck first with a Greyson Will i a m s - to -A le x C o op er 19-yard pass to give the Tigers an early 7-0 lead.

Junior Varsity The Rockdale Tiger junior varsity played the Giddings Buffaloes JV on Thursday, losing 51-14. Top performers for the Tigers were Hayze Hamrick and King Knox.

Gordon 54, Thorndale 21 The Thorndale Bulldogs (2-2) fell to the No. 1-ranked Class 1A-D1 Gordon Longhorns (2-0), 54-21, last week at Bulldog Stadium. THIS WEEK— The Bulldogs will play Class 3A-D1 Hempstead Bobcats at 7 p.m. Friday at Bobcat Stadium in Hempstead.

Tigers sweep Florence

Rockdale Tiger Youth Football & Cheer had a good day Saturday with three teams competing against the youth football league from Florence. The Rockdale Pee Wee Flag team defeated the Buffaloes, 14-12, for their first win of the season.
