The Rockdale Tigers basketball teams each had one game during Thanksgiving week—the Tigers played Mumford and the Lady Tigers played Elgin. The Rockdale Tiger varsity basketball team hosted the Mumford Mustangs On Nov. 25. The Tigers fell to the Mustangs, 50-39, at Tiger Gym.

Big Blue places six on All-District

The Rockdale Tigers football team has placed six players on the 11-3A All-District team, with two earning spots on both sides of the ball. Senior wide receiver De’Andre Stephens was tabbed as Offensive Player of the Year, as well as first team All-District safety on the defensive side of the ball.

The Rockdale Tiger basketball teams were in action last week hosting the Hearne Eagles on Tuesday and traveling to Salado on Friday. HEARNE— On Tuesday, the JV lost to the Eagles, 41-27. The Hearne Eagles varsity brought a preseason ranking of No. 3 in Class 2A into their opener against the Tigers.

There will be no Milam County teams playing football after Thanksgiving this season as the Thorndale Bulldogs (8-4) fell to the Ganado Indians (11-1) in the UIL Class 2A Division I area game, 35-14, Friday night at Tiger Stadium.

Three Milano Lady Eagle seniors were named to the Texas High School Coaches Association A c a d emic All-State team in volleyball. Named to the first team was Lesly Martinez, while Hannah Bakken and Sophie Zeig were named to the second team.

Granger FAIR. Water stained; 70 degrees; 0.43 feet above pool. Black bass are fair up the river and around main lake structures with worms and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on jigs fished in standing timber. White bass are slow. Blue catfish are good on jug lines baited with Zote Soap or shad.
