Rockdale Lady Tigers couldn’t overcome Academy in a 10-0 loss last Tuesday on the road. The state’s 11th-ranked team in Class 3A did a lot of scoring early and had pitching that RHS head coach Meghann Infantino described as the best pitching she’d seen all year.
On Sunday, Thorndale High School softball player Kelsey Kovar announced her verbal commitment to play at Paris Junior College following her graduation in 2022.
Rockdale sophomore Yolianna Castillo won the Cameron tennis tournament Friday while teammate Beth Montelongo placed fourth amongst competitors from Rockdale, Yoe High, Rogers and Thrall.
Earlier this month, more than a dozen Rockdale High School basketball players received all-district awards.
