Sixteen days of strength, conditioning, sports skills instruction being offered

Rockdale Athletics is offering 16 days of strength, conditioning and sports skills instruction starting June 2 and lasting through June 26.

‘Hazing’ has changed over the years and reminiscing about past Tiger athletes

What’s going on in high school sports? Just recently I read about 11 high school lacrosse players from Westhill High School in Syracuse, New York, that were arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment following a hazing incident. They basically kidnapped some teammates.

WAKE AQUATICS SWIM TEAM

WAKE AQUATICS—The Rockdale Wake Aquatics swim team wants to remind everyone that the first day in the water at the City Pool is Tuesday. Practice times will be from 6:15 to 7 p.m. for ages 10 and under; 8 to 8:45 p.m. for ages 11-18; and 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. for ages 19 and over.

Rockdale Tiger Athletics is offering summer camps for the following: • Baseball and Softball— June 2-3 from 9 to 11 a.m. for incoming third through ninth grades. • Boys and Girls Soccer— June 2 and 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. for incoming first through ninth grades.
