MILANO HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

REGION BOUND— Congratulations to Milano Lady Eagle Malina Gordon who had a personal best throw in the discus and is advancing to the regional track meet Saturday at Texas A&M in Kingsville.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

Thorndale High School athletes competed in the area track meet held in Flatonia last week with great results with many now headed to the regional meet. Congratulations to: • Lady Dog Bethany Preusse, the new area champion in discus and shot put. • Riley Shock placed third in discus.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS

Congratulations to the varsity mixed doubles team of Cohen Razo and Aubrey Zientek for placing second in the Thrall Invitational Tournament.  Way to go Mason Lillard and Brody Willard for placing second in boys’ doubles at the Thrall Invitational Tennis Tournament. 

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER

Congratulations to these Rockdale High School soccer players: • Wilmer Sorto was recently named the District’s Co-Offensive Player of the year. • Juan Lira was recognized as Co-Defensive Newcomer of the Year. • Angel Rivera, Kevin Valdiva and Pedro Tenorio were named First Team All-District.

Tiger, Lady Tiger athletes qualify for area track meet

Rockdale hosted the district track meet last week and both Tigers and Lady Tigers had success on the track and in the field. The junior varsity girls team took second place overall and Lady Tigers T’Niyah Miles, Jernee’ Mitchell, Trinity Hurd and Milagros Cervantes qualifi ed for the area meet.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL GOLF

The Rockdale golf teams participated in the district golf tournament held at the Club last week. The Lady Tigers team of Brandilyn Musto, Molly Moody, Paisly Fisher and Isabella in third place. Congratulations to these student athletes.

ROCKDALE BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Rockdale Lady Tigers softball team dropped both of their games last week against Little River-Academy, 21-4 and 11-1. Rockdale is winless in district play.

Congratulations to JV doubles team of Cohen Razo and Greyson Williams on winning first place at the Cameron Invitational.
