Granger GOOD. Water lightly stained; 70 degrees; 0.19 feet above pool. Black bass are good on spinnerbaits fished in very shallow water in heavy cover. Crappie are very good on jigs fished in brush piles all over the lake. White bass are good on slab spoons fished along roadbeds and points.

SILVER MEDALIST— Freshman Tiger Jonathan Fuller ran the 3200m at the state track meet last week in Austin at Mike Myers Stadium and finished in second place with a time of 10:41.90. “There are a lot of emotions when you make it to state, especially as a freshman.

Former Tiger and current Austin resident, Lee Nichols (left), who was a member of the Class of 1986, is the current RHS record holder in the 3200m with a time of 9:52.06. Nichols is the one that photographed Jonathan Fuller’s silver medal 3200m run (above) at last week’s state track meet in Austin.

THORNDALE TRACK & FIELD

PODIUM FINISH—Thorndale’s Bethany Preusse finished second in the discus at this year’s state track and field event at Mike Meyers Stadium in Austin last week. Congratulations to Bethany for the silver medal finish! She had a throw of 144’-8”.

Rockdale ISD announces changes to coaching staff

Rockdale ISD recently announced new additions and changes to the Blue & Gold coaching staff. Current RISD teacher Holly Muniz will now be leading the Lady Tiger volleyball program after former Tiger Morgan Laughlin stepped down from coaching earlier this year to spend more time with family.

The Milano Eagles stopped Evadale’s five-game win streak in bi-district p layoff a ction. T he E agles w on both games against the Rebels with an identical score of 3-1. The bi-district champions have now won their last three games and will face Bartlett in the area round of the baseball playoffs.

It took three games but the Thorndale softball team came out on top against Danbury to become area champions. Game one was a 3-0 win for the Lady Dogs, game two was a loss 11-4 and game three was a 2-0 victory for Thorndale.

Rockdale High School freshman Jonathan Fuller will compete in the 3200m run on Thursday at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.

The Milano Lady Eagles continue to blow up the scoreboards. Milano defeated Deweyville last week in the first round of the softball playoffs, winning game one by a score of 14-4 and game two 15-3. This was the seventh win out of the last eight games for the Lady Eagles.
