ROCKDALE TENNIS

The Rockdale Tiger tennis team played in the Thrall last week with great results. The doubles team of Mason Willard and Brody Willard came in first place in boys’ doubles, while Cohen Razo and Sebastian Lepe placed second in boys’ doubles.

MILANO GOLF

The Milano golf team recently played in the district tournament in Taylor. Eagle Daniel Frei placed second and advances to the regional tournament. Other players on the team were Jac Christman, Breyton Steinbecker and Peyton Steinbecker, who is an alternate for the regional tournament.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The red hot Rockdale Tigers picked up two wins last week, both against McGregor. Big Blue pounded the winless Bulldogs late in the week in front of a McGregor home crowd. The final was 18-1. Senior Mason Willard started the game for the Tigers and was the winning pitcher.

THORNDALE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Thorndale Bulldogs baseball team is 7-1, second place in district and they are not slowing down. BR EMOND— Last week, they embarrassed Bremond with a 10-0 win in Thorndale.

MILANO BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

The Milano Lady Eagle softball team is at .500 in district play and they split games last week. They had a loss against Bremond, 11-7, but they came back and got a win against Bartlett, 13-3. COMING UP— On Tuesday, the Lady Eagles were to host Thrall, before hosting Chilton at 6 p.m. Friday.

ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

The Rockdale Blue & Gold track teams traveled to compete in the Lexington Relays last week. The results for the Lady Tigers were: T’Niyah Miles placed second in the shot put with a 35-1 toss and she was also sixth in the discus with a distance of 85-2.

ROCKDALE SOCCER

The Rockdale Tiger soccer team’s season ended last week after a hard loss in post-season play to Lorena, 1-0. Despite the loss Former Tiger and Head Tiger Soccer Coach Gilberto Rodriguez was pleased with his team: “Last year we went 1-17 with no district wins.

ROCKDALE GOLF

The Rockdale golf teams played in the district tournament recently at Stonetree Golf Club in Killeen. Tiger Mason Lillard tied for fourth overall with a twoday score of 174. Lillard is the first alternate for regionals.

ROCKDALE TRACK

The Rockdale Tiger track team competed last week in the Caldwell Track Meet with results listed below. “This track season has been exceptionally rewarding,” said Tiger Track Coach Marcus Chalk.

THORNDALE POWERLIFTING

STATE POWERLIFTERS— Thorndale Bulldog Kaleb Yount (R) is your new state powerlifting champion. He squatted 670 pounds, set a state record of benching 535 pounds and had a deadlift of 585 pounds, for a total of 1,790. Deven Cuba (L) placed fifth at the state powerlifting meet.
