Softball fundraiser set for Saturday
Rockdale Girls’ Softball Association will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, at The Ranch from 7 p.m. to midnight.
There wi l l be a $10 donation at the door. To raise money for its fields and facilities, there will be a drawing and both live and silent auctions.
The Lady Tigers had a rough spring break, losing both of their games to the Little River-Academy Lady Bumblebees.
They lost one at home game and one on the road, 15-0 and 16-1.
STATE CHAMP— Congratulations to Thorndale’s Lady Dog Powerlifting State Champion Jordyn Stutts. Stutts set a state record with a squat of 405, she benched 220 and had a deadlift of 310. Her total weight was 935. Way to go Jordyn!

The Thorndale Bulldogs baseball team had two games last week.
They played rival Thrall and suffered a loss, 5-0. They then bounced back from the loss and had a decisive victory against Milano. The Bulldogs scored in every inning and won 13-3.

Perry competed in the State Powerlifting Championships in Frisco last week. She finished 10th with a squat of 310 pounds, a bench press of 180, a deadlift of 285, for a total of 775 pounds. Way to go Elizabeth! Rockdale Tigers Athletics photo
Milano Eagle Basketball players Ty Magee, Dylan Magee, Daniel Frei and Gerald Dykes were named to the All-District Academic team recently.
Eagle Jackson Reyes was named Second Team All District.
Congratulations to these student athletes for their accomplishment both on and off the court.
